CFI MEDIA is a registered learning provider which offers free training for young learners between the ages of 11 – 25. We also do in-school workshops for those under 16 with our fully accredited team. Find out more below.

Meet Your Filmmaker (MYF) Programme

The Meet Your Filmmaker programme gives training, support & mentoring to a cohort of young filmmakers between 16-25 years of age. This programme is aimed at those who are showing a real talent for filmmaking. The aim of this programme is to give in-depth training to a group of young filmmakers and partner them up with community projects.

 

These projects will give opportunity for young filmmakers to up-skill, get hands on experience and develop further. Usually the programme is suited for young people who have knowledge of filmmaking but are seeking further opportunity to gain experience.

 

Young people on this programme get paid for working on these projects so we see this program as a pathway for young people to progress into the film industry. Our first year cohort consisted of two filmmakers who produced over 15 community videos raising a total of £130k for charities and community interest companies.

Workshops

We deliver filmmaking workshops to the community and beyond. Our workshops focus on hands on education and cater for a range of ages. We can deliver these workshops in schools, a mutual venue or at our Cultural Learning Hub based inside Crawley Museum.
